Every ball run has the same enemy. And that's the floor.

Ask any parent who's watched their child build one. The run goes up beautifully. Then someone walks past. A sibling's foot catches the base. The baby crawls through. A door opens and a draught takes the top tier.

A build that took twenty minutes of concentration comes down in half a second, usually just before it's been tested.

Children give up on ball runs for one reason, and it's almost never that the building was too hard. It's that the build never survived.
