Most toy roads tell your child where to drive. This one lets them decide.
Waytoplay is a set of flexible rubber road pieces — straights, curves, roundabouts, intersections — that connect together and lay flat on almost any surface. Your child lays them out in whatever configuration they want: a loop, a figure-eight, a sprawling city network across the living room floor. Then they change it. Then they change it again.
The rubber has just enough grip to stay put on carpet, tiles, and grass alike. It's waterproof, wipe-clean, and genuinely hard to damage — the kind of toy that goes on holiday, lives in the garden, and survives years of use. Each piece is printed on both sides, so there's no wrong way to lay it down.
What makes it different from a fixed road mat or a track set is that there's no predetermined circuit. Figuring out how to make the pieces connect — how to close a loop, how to fit a roundabout into a tight corner — is quiet spatial problem-solving that happens naturally, just in the act of playing.
Choosing your set:
Expressway (16 pieces) — Includes all road types: 8 curves, 6 straights, 1 intersection, 1 roundabout. Total road length: 238cm. The right starting point — enough to make a satisfying circuit, not so much that setup is overwhelming. A good first waytoplay.
Highway (24 pieces) — 12 curves, 9 straights, 2 intersections, 1 roundabout. Total road length: 376cm. More room to get creative with the layout. Popular for families who've outgrown the Expressway or want something more substantial from the start.
King of the Road (40 pieces) — 16 curves, 16 straights, 4 intersections, 4 roundabouts. Total road length: 648cm. This is the one that takes over the floor. Multiple circuits, full city planning, room for several children to play at once. The set that doesn't get put away.
All sets are compatible with each other and can be expanded over time.

Good quality pieces, loved by my 5 yo. He used it to build his own roads (like a jigsaw puzzle) and when he plays, he also imagines his own story. Sometimes it can be quite entertaining watching him narrate! Even also great for car wash play (think water play)!
My son who loves running his cars and trucks loves these rubber roads. He also adds tunnels and bridges to extend the play.
This is an essential.
Nice texture, not too smooth or rough. However, the pieces come off easily so might be frustrating if your child is young
Another open-ended toy that I’d purchase and love. I was highly impressed with the high quality, child-safe, waterproof rubber that allow opportunities and creativities to an adventure anywhere, anytime. My boy is able to play independently for hours with waytoplay, excellent for working from home norm during this pandemic.
My child loves playing with this, creating many different road layouts!
My 5yo boy and 3yo girl love this set for small world play and extending their Hot Wheels set. The pieces fit easily, are very durable and just wipe to clean.
