Grapat Perpetual Calendar contains 12 Nins® in 12 colors according to the Waldorf pedagogy, both to determine the month and its season of the year.
1 bowl of natural beech wood, two natural beech wood cubes with the numbers of the days printed, and a platform distributed in 4 sections that determine the seasons, stamped with the months of the year.

Got this as a tool to teach my then 4.5 yo son about the months and its order in a year and the dates. Its amazing how fast he catches on and i think within 1.5 mth - 2 mth he is able to recite the months of the year. We also use this to teach him counting down to key dates, i.e. his birthday and days for surprise treats when he is good (reward system). The Nins are also put to good use for playing and tossing around too!
A fun way to mark the days, plus the grapat nins make fun townspeople for other types of play.
